Net Zero

ICE policy team and Parliament infrastructure group seek views on behaviour changes needed to aid the transition to net zero

The ICE policy team has begun a consultation exercise to seek views on the behavioural changes needed if net zero is to be achieved. The green paper was developed in partnership with the All Party Parliamentary Group on Infrastructure.

What are the public behavioural changes required to meet net zero? focuses on the changes required to achieve a net zero infrastructure system. It also asks what a public engagement strategy about behavioural change should be and asks what are the barriers preventing behavioural change.

The ICE wants to hear from infrastructure professionals, civil engineers, environmental groups and other interested stakeholders about the paper’s key questions.

The Institution is particularly interested in insights and views about efforts to encourage the public to switch to electric vehicles, increase public transport use, and install heat pumps.
